To thrive as a Weekend Cyber Security professional, you need a solid understanding of network security, threat identification, and incident response, typically backed by experience in IT security and credentials such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH. Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus platforms is crucial for monitoring and reacting to threats. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are vital soft skills in this role.
