Job description

Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit

Schedule: Every other weekend (or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) - Holiday rotation included

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of RN experience - 1 year of CV ICU experience - Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Required clinical skills: mechanical ventilation care, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation experience, vasoactive drip titration - Travel experience required

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in various intensive care settings. Monitor and assess patients' health status, including vital signs and laboratory results. Administer medications and medical interventions per physician orders. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient recovery and outcomes. Float to non-critical care units when ICU needs are low, providing care and support as needed.

Compliance / Notes: Free parking available. COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). Licensure requirements differ by state; ensure proper licenses are obtained and submitted. Maximum 7 days of request time off (RTO); finalize RTO at submission. Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing for PPE. Mandatory pre-start modules must be completed to avoid delays.
