Job description

Multiple Dry Cleaning Store Locations 

The Retail Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, processing garment orders, handling transactions, maintaining store appearance, and supporting daily operations across multiple dry cleaning locations. This position requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel between assigned stores as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - 

Multi-Store Support

Travel between assigned store locations based on business needs. Provide coverage for vacations, absences, staffing shortages, or peak business periods. Adapt quickly to different store environments and customer bases. Maintain consistent company standards and procedures across all locations.

Customer Service

Greet customers promptly and professionally. Receive and process incoming garments for dry cleaning, laundering, alterations, and specialty services. Accurately tag, inspect, and document garments according to company procedures. Explain services, pricing, promotions, and turnaround times. Resolve customer concerns and service issues professionally and promptly. Contact customers regarding completed orders, questions, or special requests.

Order Processing

Enter customer and garment information accurately into the point-of-sale system. Verify garment counts, descriptions, and special cleaning instructions. Ensure all orders are properly prepared for production and delivery. Process pickups and verify completed orders before releasing them to customers. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.

Store Operations

Open and close stores according to company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment. Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including counter cleaning, garment organization, and lobby maintenance. Monitor supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment. Assist with merchandising and promotional displays.

Quality Control

Conduct visual inspections of garments upon intake and prior to customer pickup. Identify and document stains, damage, missing buttons, wear, or other garment conditions. Communicate garment concerns or special handling requirements to production staff. Help ensure completed orders meet company quality standards before delivery to customers.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·         Previous retail, customer service, hospitality, or dry cleaning experience preferred.

·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Basic computer and cash handling skills.

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

·         Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.

·         Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to stand for extended periods.

·         Ability to lift and carry garment bags weighing up to 25 pounds.

·         Ability to reach, bend, and move garments on racks.

·         Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as required.
