About the Role
Talarico for Texas is building a movement to take back power for working people. We are seeking a full-time Deputy Director for Creative Production to join our communications team. This is a managerial role that will oversee the production of video, photo, graphics, and other digital content capable of breaking through an increasingly fragmented and fast-moving new media environment.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Creative Director in managing a multidisciplinary team of videographers, photographers, graphic designers, and editors to produce high-quality digital content tailored to diverse online audiences
  • Direct the content editing process from rough cut to final delivery - setting timelines, workflows, staff capacity allocations, and quality standards to ensure high-quality final products for both rapid response and long-term digital content projects
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to editors and designers to ensure content is platform-optimized and consistent on style, tone, and message
  • Collaborate with team members responsible for content drafting and storyboarding in order to ensure drafts are compatible with the desired production outputs

Requirements
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in political communications, digital media, video editing, or a related field
  • Expertise in video editing workflows, post-production processes, and content optimization for social media
  • Proficiency with industry-standard creative tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc
  • Deep familiarity with the evolving digital media landscape, including video trends and platform-specific best practices
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to balance speed with quality in a rapidly adapting political environment
  • Willingness to work nights and some weekends
