Weare seeking an experienced, friendly and professional Line Cook in the eveningsto join our team at our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn BHAM SE Liberty Park. Theline cook will run the kitchen operations for the HGI Grille each morningduring the hours open from 5-9pm. The successful candidate will have thenecessary experience to cook our Hilton buffet, excellent customer serviceskills, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. POSITION:LINE COOK

JOBSUMMARY

PMKitchen Cook position is available Friday & Saturday evenings responsiblefor cooking from our simple Hilton Dinner Menu.  Breakfast hours are from 5-9pm,and we start preparation about 4:30pm with approx. an hour after closing timeto clean and prep for the coming day.  Line cook experience requiredyet we will train the proper candidate for the position.  Positive F&BTeam is ready to work with you to continue to make our guests happy!!! 

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently offer professional, friendly, and attentive service to guests;interact with guests and answer questions that guests may have pertaining totheir breakfast dining experience; become familiar with our hotel, servicesoffered, hours of operation, nearby places of interest, etc.

Setup and maintain the kitchen each morning by following the hotel franchise F&Bguidelines; be familiar with supper items and beverage choices.  Cooksupper items requested from our guests selected from our menu.

Collapse the kitchen each end of evening; replenish and restock dinner items toprepare for the next day; communicate with hotel management regarding inventoryof all evening products and any additional feedback

Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout the shift that meet the countyhealth codes and the hotel quality assurance requirements; practiceclean-as-you-go procedures for dining and preparation areas

Comply with sanitation regulations, guidelines and safety standards pertainingto food products; protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitationand safety guidelines

Perform other tasks as necessary or required to meet or exceed guestsatisfaction

INDUSTRYEXPERIENCE

Previous experience in the hospitality industry (desired)

Previous experience as Line Cook (strongly required)

REQUIREDSKILLS

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to listen attentively

Must have the physical ability to walk, bend, and stand for time periods

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Must adhere to grooming and appearance standards in alignment with uniform
