Job description

Objective:

The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for developing compelling content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content and driving audience engagement through innovative digital content strategies. This includes but is not limited to developing content for social media posts, video scripts, e-blasts, blog posts, headlines and catchphrases for ads and more.

This role is ideally suited for candidates based in Florida, the New York City metropolitan area, or the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the entertainment, live events, production, or professional lighting industry and be comfortable creating, filming, editing, and producing high-quality digital content in both studio and on-location environments.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Creative Services team members to interpret creative briefs and develop content ideas to grow brand presence and relevance.
  • Revise content or campaigns based on feedback from creative brief owners.
  • Create, edit and publish clear, persuasive, and original content for various channels, including social media, scripts, e-blasts, ads, websites, and blog posts.
  • Quickly understand, adopt and stand in as the brand voice.
  • Help manage content calendars to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.
  • Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, often under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Engage with audience through social media platforms
  • Create multimedia content including videos, graphics, and infographics
  • Optimize content for SEO to increase organic traffic and visibility
  • Conduct keyword research and identify content opportunities
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Keep up to date with popular culture and trends in the rental, system integration and architectural markets to ensure content stays relevant
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness and provide regular status updates on ongoing projects.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelors in Journalism, Marketing, or English
  • At least two years of industry experience in a social media, communications and/or marketing function; prior trade media and/or agency experience a plus
  • Proven ability to distill complex technologies into user centric, “ahas!” in both written and multimedia content (podcasts, videos, infographics).
  • Ability to bring innovative, inspiring ideas for new content for multi-brand companies/clients; proactive, driving personality is a must
  • Excellent verbal skills with mastery of grammar and language
  • Knowledge of creating content for web consumption
  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
  • Basic photography and video skills
  • Analytical and forward-thinking mindset
  • Command of English language; Spanish, French, or German preferred


Preferred:

Previous experience working within the entertainment, live events, professional lighting, audiovisual, broadcast, television, film, or production industry is strongly preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, and/or lift/move up to fifteen pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Overnight travel via air or land transportation required.

Working Conditions:Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers and other peripherals.
