Local Driving Position

Looking for a local driving position with daily home time and steady weekday work? This dedicated port operation offers hourly pay, no-touch freight, and consistent routes hauling shipping containers between port terminals and customer locations. Drivers enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule, reliable freight, and the opportunity to earn additional pay for Hazmat deliveries and weekend work.

Position Highlights:

  • Home daily
  • Monday-Friday schedule with early morning start times
  • Occasional Saturday work available
  • Haul loaded and empty shipping containers between port terminals and customer locations
  • No-touch freight
  • Mix of drop-and-hook and live unload freight
  • Day cab operation with container chassis equipment
  • Average one-way trip of approximately 20 miles
  • Paid orientation

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Hazmat endorsement required
  • TWIC card required
  • Minimum 6 months of recent container or tanker experience within the past 3 years
  • Strong safety focus and customer service skills
  • No pets or passengers permitted

Pay & Benefits:

  • Starting pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Additional $10 per Hazmat delivery
  • Additional $5.00 per hour for weekend work
