Job description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a leading civil site contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site development estimating and a comprehensive understanding of civil construction projects. This role will primarily focus on industrial and commercial site development, with a strong emphasis on municipal utility infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial and commercial site development projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate pricing.
  • Analyze quantities, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.
  • Develop estimates for:
    • Site work
    • Earthwork and grading
    • Utility installations and infrastructure
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders during the estimating process.
  • Evaluate project risks and identify value-engineering opportunities.
  • Support bid preparation and proposal development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, construction methods, and industry trends.


Qualifications

  • Experienced Estimator with a proven track record in civil construction and site development estimating.
  • Comprehensive understanding of:
    • Site work
    • Grading
    • Utilities
  • Strong knowledge of utility construction projects subject to municipal and city inspections.
  • Experience estimating industrial and commercial construction projects.


Technical Skills

Experience with the following estimating software is required:
