Job description

Job Title: Agricultural Construction Laborer

Job Description

The Agricultural Construction Laborer supports the construction, installation, and maintenance of grain bins, grain elevators, material handling systems, and other agricultural structures. This position performs a variety of physical construction tasks, assists skilled tradespeople, and helps ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and according to quality standards.

Responsibilities

Assist with the construction and erection of grain bins, grain legs, elevators, catwalks, and support structures.

Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Assist with assembling steel structures and grain handling equipment.

Perform basic concrete, excavation, site preparation, and cleanup activities.

Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Assist with welding, fabrication, and equipment installation projects.

Work from ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, and elevated work platforms.

Support rigging and material lifting operations.

Maintain a clean and safe job site.

Travel to customer and project locations as required.

Complete additional duties assigned by supervisors and project leaders.

Essential Skills

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Construction, agricultural, or mechanical experience preferred but not required.

Ability to use hand and power tools.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in agricultural construction, grain bin construction, or steel erection.

Forklift, telehandler, or skid steer operating experience.

Welding or fabrication experience.

OSHA 10 certification.
