Job Description
Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Construction Inspector to join the team. This role is Full-time Days working Monday - Friday 40 hours weekly with an occasional night/weekend shift.

Construction Inspector Job Responsibilities:
  • Audits Contractor as-built documentation to ensure drawings are current and accurate.
  • Ensures Facility Engineering department receives all necessary as-built drawings and documents, as evidenced by Letter of Transmittal. (Close-out documentation includes the following: O and M manual/warranties, Civil Engineer's as-built survey and submission of as-built site-plan to the County, County's final site inspection report and release of bond, GC's record documents to the A /E).
  • Coordinates with clinical staff, Epidemiology, Engineering, Safety and Security departments.
  • Performs job site inspections for safety programs as evidenced by the issuance of Interim Life Safety reports.
  • Submits the ILSM survey weekly to Hospital Safety Manager.
  • Assists PM by verifying that material stored on-site or off-site is claimed in Contractor application for payment.
  • Performs building surveys as requested by IDCD Director to verify existing plan conditions and provide plan information for use in updating the CAFM plan files and cost center database.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience: 2 years of experience with a General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor or Electrical Contractor
  • Education: Associate's degree OR 5 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree working with a General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Electrical Contractor

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA-30 certification
  • Healthcare construction experience
