POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Full Time Day Shift Patient Care Technician I (CNA) to join our 3 South Telemetry unit. This role is ideal for a compassionate healthcare professional who thrives in a fast paced acute care environment and is passionate about supporting high quality patient care.


In this role you will work closely with Registered Nurses, Clinical Coordinators, and Nurse Leadership to provide hands on patient care and support daily unit operations. This team cares for telemetry and medical surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and collaborative multidisciplinary care.

Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

CNA license required.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work performed and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties.

  • Assist nursing staff with direct patient care activities, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and supporting daily living activities.

  • Collaborate with nurses, clinical coordinators, and nurse managers to implement patient care plans and ensure continuity of care. 

  • Accurately document patient information and report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate nursing personnel. 

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. 

  • Support clinical coordinators in coordinating patient care activities and managing workflow within the unit. 
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Full Time Day Shift & Every Other Weekend Availability Required. Valid CNA License Required.


LICENSURE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), required.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or comparable clinical setting, required.

  • Full-time day shift availability, including every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

  • Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
