Job description

Are you the person who knows everyone on campus? Are you fascinated by how AI and robots perceive the world? We're looking for energetic, outgoing, and tech-savvy Campus Ambassadors to help us build the next generation of robotics technology. In this role, you'll be the face of our robotics initiatives on your campus. Your mission is to engage with fellow students and guide them through short, fun data collection sessions using an iPhone. You aren't just collecting data-you're helping train the computer vision models that will power the future.

What You'll Do

  • Engage & Recruit: Approach students on campus (quads, student unions, study areas) and invite them to participate in a paid/incentivized data recording session.
  • Capture Data: Guide students through recording high-quality video and sensor data of participants performing specific movements or interacting with objects using our app.
  • Quality Control: Ensure lighting, framing, and movement instructions are followed strictly to ensure data is usable for machine learning.
  • Educate: Briefly explain the purpose of the technology to participants, creating excitement about the project.
  • Manage Goals: Meet weekly targets for the number of unique participants recorded.

Who You Are

  • The Social Butterfly: You're comfortable walking up to strangers, striking up a conversation, and explaining complex ideas simply. Rejection doesn't phase you.
  • Tech-Fluent: You're comfortable using iOS devices, troubleshooting basic app issues, and following technical instructions.
  • Detail-Oriented: You understand that "garbage in, garbage out" applies to AI. You care about capturing the perfect shot.
  • Reliable: You show up when you say you will and you treat the equipment with care.
  • Currently Enrolled: You're a student at a University with availability to work 10-15 hours per week (flexible schedule).
  • Physically Capable: Comfortable holding an iPhone steady for extended periods and standing/walking around campus for the duration of a shift.

Nice to Haves

  • Interest in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or Marketing
  • Experience in street teaming, sales, or photography
  • Previous ambassador, promotional, or field marketing experience

The Perks

  • Competitive Pay: Earn competitive hourly rates + performance bonuses for hitting high-volume targets
  • Flexible Schedule: Work between classes or on weekends
  • Resume Booster: Gain hands-on experience with an AI/Robotics project and field operations
  • Networking: Connect with the engineering and product teams working on cutting-edge robotics technology
