Pay varies by position and is based on multiple factors including labor market data and, depending on position, may include education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and/or certifications. Additionally, Sportech takes into account the internal equity of current employees when considering compensation. Sportech's reasonable and good-faith estimate for new hire compensation at the time of posting for this position is $25.50 per hour. The $25.50 per hour includes a $20.50 base hourly rate plus a $5.00 per hour shift differential for working weekend shift. Pay may also include variable compensation from time to time such as overtime for non-exempt positions, shift differential for specific shifts, and/or bonus targets (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).


Job Summary

Performs general warehouse work that may involve receipt of incoming material/product, using material moving/handling equipment to store materials in designated areas, and/or retrieving materials from warehouse locations to supply production operations or support customer shipment of company products. Has the knowledge of warehouse layout and the safe operation of material moving and handling equipment including lift truck, pallet jack, or motorized forklift. Skilled in reading company work orders and shipping documents and determining appropriate action from it.


Essential Job Functions

  • Offload materials from trucks and trailers
  • Place materials in designated areas and manage space and bin locations in the market
  • Perform receiving verification counts and escalate quality concern to receiving inspector
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory balances and product identification
  • Work directly with production personnel to coordinate the movement of materials from the warehouse to manufacturing and assembly lines
  • Performs transaction inventory entries into ERP system
  • Complies with applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor or appropriate resource
  • Notify Supervisor or other appropriate resources when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, and standard work documentation
  • Dispositions scrap bracing, cardboard, and packaging dunnage in proper designated areas
  • Maintains equipment including safety checks
  • Ensures that product meets Sportech's quality specifications
  • Performs rotational assignments as needed
  • Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area following 5S procedures and practices
  • Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year or more of relevant experience
  • Forklift training and certification required
  • Ability to lift and perform other physically demanding tasks associated with material handling and receiving
  • Accurate counting skill
  • Some computer skills
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships with team members
