We are seeking an IT Technical Support Specialist to join our team.

This role will involve providing day-to-day management information system (MIS) user support, troubleshooting end-user issues, and supporting IT systems and assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in end-user computing support, Windows environments, Active Directory, hardware/software troubleshooting, and a passion for enabling efficient and reliable business operations.

Job Description

The IT Technical Support Specialist provides ongoing technical support to users through phone assistance and on-site visits under broad supervision. As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you will troubleshoot end-user hardware and software issues, analyze user needs, and design or implement system and software modifications to improve productivity and system reliability.

In this IT Technical Support Specialist role, you will oversee IT systems and assets, support upgrades and fixes, and provide training to employees across the organization. The IT Technical Support Specialist works closely with users to resolve business-critical IT issues and serves as a subject-matter expert for Windows-based systems and commonly used enterprise applications. This IT Technical Support Specialist position has a direct impact on operational efficiency and organizational growth.


Objectives of the Role
  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and continuous system improvements
  • Enable faster, smarter business processes and improved employee productivity
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert supporting Windows OS and widely used applications such as Microsoft and Adobe

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting MS Office 365, VPNs, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, and encryption tools
  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting computer peripheral devices (printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, mice, MDFs)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and Surface Pros
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Active Directory domain environment
  • Proficiency in software installations and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts with the ability to troubleshoot basic network issues using command-line tools

Education
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered
