Job description

*This role requires a hybrid schedule in our Charlotte, NC office; Tuesday-Thursday in-office, Monday and Friday remote.*
THE POSITION
You will be the technical lead on the design and build phases of our projects, leveraging your knowledge of architectural patterns, software delivery, and continuous deployment. You will also work with senior technical people at LendingTree to educate and mentor engineers within the rest of the technical organization. You will be seen as an expert in designing software solutions for complex technology products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of complex technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities.
  • Assist in maintenance and upgrades of existing software applications.
  • Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Provide support in all phases of SDLC and ensure delivery of high-quality products.
  • Provide training and mentorship to other engineers.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot application issues in a timely fashion.
  • Develop most effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and executing assigned tasks within deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in software development with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React, Vue.js or Angular.
  • Experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs and enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, including event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging .
  • Experience working with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ, MassTransit or similar event brokers.
  • Experience designing and building scalable enterprise platforms or core platform services.
  • Experience defining technical architecture and making design decisions for complex, distributed applications.
  • Experience leading junior and senior software engineers
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Passion for learning new technologies, being involved in software communities
  • Experience with C#/.NET is required.
  • Docker experience is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science or related field

Base salary: The base pay range for this position is $135,000 to 175,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on internal factors, job-related knowledge, location and candidate experience.
