About the Role
Lawrence Hall is seeking a passionate and relationship-driven Manager of Volunteer Services to lead and grow our volunteer engagement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building community partnerships, coordinating meaningful volunteer experiences, organizing special events, and connecting individuals and organizations with opportunities to make a lasting impact.
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Manager of Volunteer Services serves as an ambassador for Lawrence Hall and plays a key role in recruiting, training, engaging, and retaining volunteers while supporting agency-wide events, community outreach, and fundraising initiatives.
What You'll Do
Volunteer Program Leadership
  • Grow and support Lawrence Hall's volunteer and mentoring programs.
  • Develop volunteer training materials and program resources.
  • Track participation, outcomes, and program impact.
  • Partner with agency teams to identify meaningful volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Recruitment & Community Partnerships
  • Recruit volunteers through community, corporate, and faith-based partnerships.
  • Build relationships with volunteers, community partners, donors, and supporters.
  • Represent Lawrence Hall at community events and outreach activities.

Volunteer Engagement & Retention
  • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, training, and recognition.
  • Foster meaningful engagement and long-term volunteer involvement.

Events & Fundraising Support
  • Coordinate volunteers for agency events and special initiatives.
  • Assist with donation drives, community campaigns, and fundraising efforts.
  • Partner with the Development team to strengthen community support for Lawrence Hall.

Who we're looking for
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years relevant experience in non-profit volunteer coordination, community outreach or related non-profit role.
  • Proven track record of detail oriented, problem-solving, teamwork, and dedication to be involved and take on new challenges.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT/Blackbaud or other fundraising databases.
  • Demonstrates highly effective verbal and written communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening and no history of child abuse or neglect.
  • Passion for Lawrence Hall's mission.

Preferred:
  • Experience working with trauma-informed care and youth-serving organizations.

Additional Information
This position is based at 4833 N Francisco. This position requires flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events. Candidates should be comfortable engaging with community partners, volunteers, and donors in a variety of settings. The role may require lifting materials or event supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary: $57,000-61,000/year, based on experience.
