Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Communications Engineer
Location: NYC, NY(Fully Onsite)
Requirements: Driver's License required
Summary:
Support critical NYC emergency communication systems (911, Text-to-911, NG911). Ensure the reliability and performance of emergency communications infrastructure and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
8+ years supporting data center or field communications systems
8+ years in network support, LAN/WAN troubleshooting
8+ years in communications routing, transport, and delivery (Wireline, Wireless, VoIP)
Proficient with networking hardware, telecommunication cabling standards, and documentation tools (Excel, Visio, Word)
Experience with LEC circuit termination and computing systems/hardware
Physically capable of installing and managing cabling and equipment
Willingness to travel within NYC and be available for on-call, after-hours, and weekend work
Ability to follow detailed technical documentation
