Inova Health is looking for a dedicated Certified IRC Coder to join the PB Coding Operations team. This role is Full-time working daytime hours Monday to Friday | REMOTE.

This position is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in the following states - VA, MD, DC, DE, FL, GA, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, WV.

Certified IRC Coder Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains established standards for coding accuracy.

  • Maintains established standards for Charge Capture Accuracy.

  • Monitors unposted charge logs to ensure timely charge posting occurs when documentation is present and ready for data submission.

  • Assures accurate and complete assignment of CPT codes and modifiers that are supported by medical record documentation for outpatient records.

  • Maintains established standards for expected productivity percentage.

  • Acts as liaison between clinical area and Coding operations to ensure revenue integrity is achieved.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of AHIMA or AAPC-approved coding or health information technology program.
  • Experience: 4 years of recent coding or auditing experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Certification: Obtain CIRCC within first six months of employment.
