Job description

Position Summary:
Support Advanced Quality Improvement department goals and objectives by coordinating, testing, and evaluating trial vehicles and parts related to software development in an automotive manufacturing environment. Complete Issue Investigations and provide feedback for overall vehicle & controller design improvements.
Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate and track Engineering Order and Model Change testing activities with related departments.
  • Improve software quality by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in controller interaction.
  • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
  • Participate in Benchmark activities of competitor vehicles.
  • Gather data, test, and monitor software related in new & current model production.
  • Evaluate vehicles and new technology at each stage of the New Model Process.
  • Conduct Key Engineering Order trials, testing, and investigation activities.
  • Participate in complex issue investigations related to software in respect to infotainment / ADAS system and develop recommended countermeasures.
  • Able to analyse software coding and data to improve controller to controller interaction
  • Create and present evaluation activity reports.
  • Capable of working with various analysis equipment: INCA, CAN BUS analyzer
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Education:
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent preferred.

Related Experience:
  • 0 - 10 years job related expereince preferred.

Skills / Knowledge:
  • MS Word, Excel, & Powerpoint
  • C+, C++

Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
