Job description

About the Role:
This CNC Machinist position is a skilled manufacturing role responsible for precision machining, CNC setup, and quality focused production. First shift and second shift opportunities are available, providing flexibility for experienced candidates seeking CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Setup Technician, or Precision Machining roles in a fast paced production environment. The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in producing tight tolerance components while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD and T, and work instructions to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Select and install tooling, set offsets, and perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and cycle time targets.
  • Conduct in process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust feeds and speeds, and make program edits as needed.
  • Maintain production documentation and adhere to quality control and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Operator, or CNC Setup Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, materials, and tight tolerance production.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply GD and T principles.
  • Experience performing machine setups, tool changes, and offset adjustments.
  • Proficiency using precision measurement instruments and inspection tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi axis CNC machines and advanced machining centers.
  • Familiarity with G code editing and CNC program optimization.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in high volume production or complex part manufacturing environments.
