Job description

Step into a Precision-First Day

At our Arab, AL facility, you’ll start by reviewing the day’s work orders and blueprints, selecting the right tooling, and setting up multi-axis CNC equipment for first-article runs. You’ll dial in offsets, verify programs, and run initial parts, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to confirm every feature meets spec. As production ramps, you’ll keep machines humming, troubleshoot issues before they become downtime, and fine-tune feeds and speeds to protect both quality and throughput. Along the way, you’ll coach fellow operators, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvements that make the next run even better.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce components that meet print and process requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to plan machining approaches.
  • Monitor production; adjust tooling, offsets, and process parameters to sustain tight tolerances.
  • Guide and train other CNC operators to elevate team capability.
  • Execute routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment at peak performance.
  • Verify work using precision metrology (micrometers, calipers, gauges, advanced inspection tools).
  • Partner with teammates to streamline setups, improve cycle times, and enhance quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area consistent with company standards.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate/technical degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on CNC machine operation experience.
  • Fluency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Solid grasp of CNC programming concepts and machining processes.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
  • Problem-solver who can work independently and collaborate effectively.
Core Proficiencies
  • Equipment troubleshooting
  • CNC tooling selection and optimization
  • CNC machine setup and changeover
  • Precision measurement and hand metrology
  • Advanced inspection and gauge measurement
  • Efficient machine setups for production runs
Where You’ll Work

This role is based at our manufacturing facility in Arab, AL, where craftsmanship, safety, and team success go hand-in-hand.
