Job description

Job Summary:
The Institute for Global Health seeks a Clinical Research Nurse for a clinical research role that includes: following protocols for the reconstitution / preparation of Investigational Product (drug, vaccine) or placebo under GLP-like conditions; administration of the product to research subjects; monitoring research subjects for reactions; taking and recording vitals; taking EKGs; drawing blood for research samples; recording study data in various data capture systems or charts; preparing sample collection kits and subject charts; assisting in special projects as needed. This role will additionally coordinate at least 1 clinical trial or assist the Research Coordinator team as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
New York State licensed Registered Nurse and associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experiance. Skilled in medication administration (oral, injectable, IV). Strong IV and phlebotomy skills. Strong clinical skills including EKG, vitals, documentation, communication and assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior clinical research experience preferred. Skilled in Microsoft platforms and able to learn new technology as needed. Strong administrative skills (organization, planning, documenting). Knowledge of the clinical research process.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Occasional evenings and weekends
