You dust furniture, take out the trash, and perform a variety of other janitorial and housekeeping duties. Your responsibilities include working independently and keeping written logs about trash collection, noting the time you clean each area. Whether you work in a large building or someone’s home, you maintain a degree of discretion, carefully working around personal spaces and objects. Other duties may involve working in a team to complete tasks, such as vacuuming or mopping a larger area.

Additionally, being proactive about restocking supplies and reporting maintenance concerns can make the job smoother and more effective.
