Sorella by Giada will partner with Celebrity Chef and entrepreneur Giada De Laurentiis at our new land-based Hollywood Casino in Aurora. The new dining experiences will bring De Laurentiis' signature fusion of classic Italian cuisine and modern California influence to the Chicagoland region.

Summary

The Host serves as the face of the restaurant and plays a critical role in setting the tone for the overall dining experience.The Host is responsible for creating a welcoming, high-energy first impression for guests in a celebrity-branded, upscale restaurant environment. This role manages reservations, seating flow, and guest communications while delivering exceptional hospitality that reflects the restaurant's elevated brand standards.

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival

  • Manage reservations and waitlists using reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable or similar systems)

  • Coordinate seating to ensure balanced service flow and optimal table turns

  • Accurately estimate wait times and communicate updates to guests

  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and lobby area

  • Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries

  • Manage large parties and VIP guests with professionalism and discretion

  • Communicate effectively with management, servers, and kitchen staff

  • Assist with coat check, special accommodations, and guest requests

  • Monitor dining room capacity and adhere to fire and safety regulations

  • Support team members during peak business periods
