Position Overview
Wandering Meadows Cattle Co. is hiring CDL Class A drivers in the Mankato area for over-the-road flatbed routes across the Central United States. Drivers can be based in or near Mankato, with dispatch coordinated out of the Lamberton, MN area. This role is ideal for drivers seeking longer hauls and steady mileage.


What You’ll Do

  • Operate a Class A commercial vehicle on long-haul OTR routes
  • Transport primarily flatbed freight across multiple states in the Central U.S.
  • Secure loads and ensure compliance with all DOT and company safety regulations
  • Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Coordinate with dispatch for route planning and delivery timing
  • Represent the company professionally at customer locations

Schedule & Route Details

  • Routes primarily run across the Central United States
  • Time out varies based on freight and routing needs
  • Many drivers are out approximately 5 days at a time, though some runs may extend longer
  • Seasonal or long-haul opportunities may result in extended trips (up to 2–3 weeks) depending on routes and backhaul availability
  • Home time is scheduled based on route completion, with many drivers returning on weekends when possible
