Caritas Diagnostic and Psychological Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position is primarily remote, working within a school setting in Waterbury, Connecticut. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' emotional and behavioral health, identifying underlying issues impacting their academic performance and personal development.
  • Offer individual and group therapy sessions to students, utilizing evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices to facilitate emotional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and school administration to develop and monitor personalized treatment plans that align with each student’s unique needs and educational goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention strategies and support to students and families during challenging situations, ensuring immediate access to mental health resources as necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and conferences, staying informed about the latest advancements in therapeutic methodologies and school mental health initiatives.
  • Maintain precise and confidential records of sessions and treatment progress, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines in social work practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role emphasizes working with a diverse student population ranging from early childhood through high school. You will address various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral disorders, and interpersonal challenges. The goal is to foster resilience and coping skills, empowering students to achieve their best both academically and personally.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active licensure in Connecticut as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated understanding of developmental psychology and mental health issues specific to children and adolescents.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to develop effective treatment strategies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience, ideally within a school-based environment or with youth populations.
  • Experience with teletherapy platforms and virtual counseling techniques.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support networks for children and families.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to USD 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, in addition to performance-based bonuses.
