Job description

Fortress Nutrition is growing-and we're looking for driven, reliable individuals to join our high-speed Beverage Canning team. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and want a schedule that gives you more balance without sacrificing hours or your paycheck, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Work 4 days, enjoy a 3-day weekend every week-and if you want extra income, optional overtime is available with opportunities for double pay!

Schedule:
  • Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 3-day weekends (Friday-Sunday)

> Want to pick up extra hours? Overtime may be available on Fridays or weekend days (up to 8-hour max shifts) - always volunteer-based first!
What You'll Do
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed canning line equipment (filler, seamer, packaging, shrink wrapper)
  • Monitor production to ensure efficiency, quality, and minimal downtime
  • Act with strong sense of urgency to quickly address line or equipment faults/errors
  • Identify and escalate mechanical issues to Maintenance when needed
  • Follow all safety standards, GMPs, and sanitation practices
  • Support team operations through overtime when needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership

What We're Looking For
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of machine operating & troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Reliability, accountability, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed
Must operate with a high sense of urgency at all times. This role requires constant monitoring of equipment and immediate response to machine faults or slowdowns. Failure to act quickly can stop the entire canning line. Individuals who are not attentive, proactive, and fast-moving in addressing issues will not be successful in this role.
Preferred:
  • Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, or other regulated/controlled working environments
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality standards

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs
  • Bending, kneeling, climbing (stairs/platforms), and operating machinery
  • Talking, hearing, reaching above shoulders; using hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment

Pay & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $20.00+ per hour, with higher starting rates offered based on experience and qualifications*
  • Double Time Pay for 50+ hours/week + any weekend work
