Job Description
Major Job Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
Identify and communicate safety hazards and quality deficiencies to management
Know and comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures
Production line equipment operation, trouble shooting and adjustments
Perform production equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety
Communicate repair functions and needs with Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Dept.
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
Routine quality control tests performed
Enter QC data into quality software system
Ability to think clearly and troubleshoot production equipment during time-sensitive outages
Routine lifting of items weighing up to 65 pounds
Hands-on experience with: packaging equipment, palletizing equipment, pneumatics, conveying equipment, case formers/packers, weighing systems and automation systems
Maintaining a clean and orderly work space
Perform production line changeover and set-ups of packaging line machinery
Chemical compounding may be necessary
Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Safety oriented individual
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 3 + years in a production manufacturing environment
Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize work
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
Strong organizational skills
Positive Attitude
Detail Oriented
Problem solving and decision making abilities
Fast learner
Strong work ethic
Self starter, able to take direction
Must be mechanically inclined
Overtime; weekend and shift work required if needed
OSHA and/or quality control certifications - Preferred
Must be able to pass a computer-based general aptitude test
