Job DescriptionAbout UsBE&SCO Manufacturing designs and builds industry-leading tortilla, flatbread, and bakery equipment. We are seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to support the Engineering department by producing accurate technical drawings for manufacturing and production.
Job SummaryThe CAD Drafter is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings used for equipment fabrication and assembly. This role works closely with Engineers and Manufacturing to translate engineering concepts into precise drawings that support production, revisions, and continuous improvement efforts. The position focuses on drafting execution rather than engineering design authority.
What Youโll DoDrafting & Documentation
Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings based on engineering specifications
Revise drawings and models as directed by Engineering
Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and documentation standards
Prepare layouts, assembly drawings, and component drawings
Generate renderings for internal and customer use when requested
Engineering Support
Work with Engineers to incorporate design changes and updates
Assist in implementing ECNs and revision control processes
Participate in design review meetings as needed
Provide drafting support for new product development and improvements
Data Management
Maintain organized CAD file structures and drawing databases
Support PDM processes and electronic workflow systems
Ensure drawings are current and properly archived
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Coordinate with Manufacturing to resolve drawing discrepancies
Assist in researching materials and specifications as requested
Support special projects assigned by Engineering leadership
Requirements3โ5+ years of CAD drafting experience
Associate degree in CAD Technology, Drafting, or related field preferred
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk, or similar CAD software
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of revision control and drawing standards
Basic understanding of material properties
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
ScheduleMonday through Friday
8:00 a.m. โ 5:00 p.m.
Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods during an 8-hour workday
Frequent computer and CAD workstation use
Ability to concentrate on detailed technical tasks
Ability to interpret technical data and specifications
