Bartender is responsible to support the F&B Supervisors and Beverage Manager in the successful operation of casino service bars at Horseshoe Indianapolis. Position will be engaged in the sale of and efficient production of quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage products for consumption by guests in a trained, responsible, and professional manner, as well as other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required. 1 {one) year experience in the Beverage Service Industry as a Bartender or similar position is preferred.
Possess the ability to work with Co-workers and Management in a casino environment, involving high volume fast paced production in a friendly and professional manner.
The position requires salesmanship, fast paced service and production, the ability to read, write, speak and understand English, distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols and be involved in daily professional communication with co-workers and guests. The position requires math skills and the ability to multi task, basic beverage knowledge inclusive of specifications {fluid measurements, size, shape, color, glassware, and garnish) product recognition {brand, label, bottle size and color, use, etc.) as defined by hiring management.
The position requires money handling experience, and familiarity with digital touch screen cashiering systems is preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate and ensure that daily work performed is conducted within HACCP guidelines. Required to comply with safe and hazard free work environment practices stipulated in Horseshoe Indianapolis, County/State/Federal Department of Health and OSHA policies, procedures and regulations.
Must be at least 21 years of age, and be certified in Serve Safe Alcohol Awareness, Indiana State approve Alcohol Training and hold an Indiana ATC {Alcohol & Tobacco Commission) License, as well as an IHRC {Indiana Horse Racing Commission) Occupational License.
Position requires scheduling flexibility, may be required to work weekends, holidays, overnight, or overtime, based upon scheduling and business needs.
