About Tri Imaging Solutions

Tri Imaging Solutions has merged with DirectMed Imaging, uniting two trusted names in the medical imaging industry under one organization. Tri Imaging Solutions is our go-forward brand, so the Tri Imaging Solutions name and logo now represent our combined company. You may have found this opening on DirectMed Imaging's careers page or LinkedIn - it is the same team, and your application goes to the same place.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered just north of Nashville in Madison, TN, Tri Imaging Solutions helps healthcare providers keep their diagnostic imaging systems running - supplying quality-tested replacement parts, equipment, and nationwide service across CT, MRI, mammography, X-ray, and more. We are also home to an industry-leading training center on a mission to empower the engineer, and we are ISO 13485:2016 certified.

About the Role

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician II, you'll work independently with limited supervision to ensure clinical equipment operates safely, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory standards. You'll troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain a broad range of medical equipment, including moderate- to high-complexity diagnostic and therapeutic devices, while supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout an assigned territory. You'll also serve as a technical resource and mentor to Biomedical Equipment Technician I team members.

What You'll Do

  • Independently install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic, therapeutic, laboratory, and life-support medical equipment
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and complete corrective actions to restore equipment to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform electrical safety inspections, functional testing, software updates, and equipment verification
  • Respond to customer service requests and communicate equipment status, repair progress, and recommended corrective actions
  • Complete accurate service reports, work orders, preventive maintenance records, calibration documentation, and equipment histories
  • Troubleshoot medical device networking, connectivity, and interface issues in collaboration with IT and clinical teams
  • Support equipment installations, relocations, upgrades, and decommissioning
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Biomedical Equipment Technician I team members
  • Participate in an assigned on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required

What You'll Bring

Required
  • 3–5 years of experience servicing biomedical equipment in a hospital, healthcare system, military, or field service environment
  • Advanced knowledge of biomedical equipment, electronic theory, electrical safety, and diagnostic testing
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and repair moderate to complex biomedical equipment
  • Working knowledge of medical device networking, operating systems, and basic cybersecurity principles
  • Ability to interpret service manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel frequently within an assigned local and regional territory
Nice to Have
  • Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Military Biomedical Equipment Training, or a related technical field
  • CABT, CBET, A+, Network+, OEM, or equivalent technical certifications
  • Experience with CMMS software and medical device configuration or manufacturer diagnostic software

Why Join Us

At Tri Imaging Solutions, our mission is simple: keep life-saving imaging technology running at its best. We do that by pairing quality-tested parts and responsive, nationwide service with an industry-leading training center built around hands-on learning and mentorship. Following our merger with DirectMed Imaging, we are a larger, stronger imaging solutions platform - which means more stability, more resources, and more room for our people to learn, grow, and build long-term careers. If you want meaningful, hands-on work that has a real impact on patient care, and a team that is genuinely committed to empowering the engineer, you will feel right at home here.

  • Work independently with a broad range of medical equipment and technologies
  • Continue developing your technical expertise through advanced training and hands-on experience
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to developing BMET professionals

Compensation & Benefits

We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, company-provided short-term and long-term disability coverage, and paid vacation that increases with tenure.

Location & Travel

This role provides on-site technical support to hospitals and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory.

Initial training will take place at either our Appleton, WI facility or our Madison, TN headquarters. Following initial training, you will transition into supporting customers within your assigned territory.
