Position Purpose
Blue Cross Pet Clinic is seeking an experienced and motivated veterinarian to join our thriving, high-volume practice as a Managing Veterinarian. This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor who enjoys mentorship, leadership, client relationships, and practicing high-quality medicine while helping guide the continued growth and success of a well-established hospital.
Our practice has built a loyal and devoted client base that highly values their pets' care and trusts our team to provide thoughtful recommendations, comprehensive diagnostics, and compassionate treatment options. We take pride in building lifelong relationships with our clients and their pets while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team culture.
This position is ideal for a veterinarian who is excited about stepping into a leadership role while still enjoying a strong clinical caseload and excellent production potential. The practice offers a dynamic environment with both scheduled appointments and designated walk-in hours throughout the week, creating a fast-paced and engaging atmosphere for doctors who enjoy variety and case continuity.

The clinic is currently closed on weekends, though there are future goals to eventually offer Saturday hours as the practice continues to grow and evolve.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients' medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range
USD $140,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
