Passionately in pursuit of the perfect beer… and never satisfied. 

 
 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Create a fun, high-energy environment where patrons can learn about FWBC, our beers and general beer production 

  • Provide an engaging and inviting environment for guests to learn and taste 

  • Understand basic draft use and maintenance, as well as proper beer service standards 

  • Assist with tour scheduling and communications, and provide tours of the brewery showcasing our history and brewing process to guests 

  • Become an informed resource for our guests on all core products and answer questions on new beers as released 

  • Greet each customer as they enter the Visitor’s Center  

  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks efficiently 

  • Use of Micros POS for all sales transactions or any future POS Systems 

  • Process orders and guest payments 

  • Reconcile the cash/credit drawer at the end of the day 

  • Complete opening and closing tasks efficiently 

  • Stock and replenish items including but not limited to beer, glassware, and merch 

  • Comfortable moving and tapping kegs as needed 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience or experience pouring alcohol in a tasting room setting 

  • Must be able to obtain California Responsible Beverage Service certificate during on boarding  

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing  

  • A friendly and outgoing disposition with a thirst for knowledge and desire to learn about beer and educate consumers  

  • Comfortable speaking in front of people and large groups for tours 

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs regularly and be able to maneuver kegs with assistance  

  • Must be able to multitask, work in high energy environment and maintain order during busy days 

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays 

  • Ability to operate and use a PC computer, familiar with a point-of-sale system 

  • Ability to pass Beer Server Certified test by Cicerone 

  • Must be at least 21 years old
