Hotel Bartender - Hotel Indigo Baton Rouge, LA
About the Role
Are you a mixology enthusiast who loves the energy of a professional hotel bar? We are looking for a skilled Hotel Bartender to be the face of our social space. From crafting signature cocktails for locals to recommending the perfect wine for a traveler, you will provide a premium experience that keeps guests coming back. If you are a high-energy professional with a "service-first" mindset, we want to meet you!
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
  • Beverage Artistry: Prepare and serve classic cocktails, local craft beers, and fine wines according to established recipes and guest preferences.
  • Full-Service Hospitality: Serve food to guests at the bar top with the same speed and attention to detail as our dining room team.
  • Bar Management: Set up and break down the bar daily, including prepping fresh garnishes and maintaining a spotless back-bar and prep area.
  • Inventory & Quality: Monitor stock levels, assist in restocking, and maintain strict control over pour costs and waste logs.
  • Guest Safety: Carefully verify IDs for legal drinking age and monitor alcohol consumption to ensure a safe, professional environment for all patrons.
  • Financial Accuracy: Process guest payments, room charges, and cash transactions with high precision using our POS system.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)
  • Experience: 2+ years of bartending experience (Hotel or upscale lounge experience is a plus).
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of spirits, wine, and classic mixology techniques.
  • Permits: Must have or be able to obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor (RV) Card.
