Job Summary:
Customers Bank is a super-community bank focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. They are seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and support scalable cloud networking solutions primarily in Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability and security.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud network infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Application Gateways.
• Monitor and optimize network performance using native Azure tools and third-party monitoring platforms.
• Assist in defining and implementing cloud network architecture best practices, including automation, governance, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related issues across hybrid environments.
• Document network topologies, policies, and configurations as part of IT compliance and change management.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other network engineers and support teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Azure Cloud engineers, Active Directory Engineers, Server Administration, and Information Security teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Assist with maintaining compliance with security and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI, etc.).
• Participate in IT change management processes.
• Follow ITIL best practices in service management (incident, problem, and change management).
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in cloud networking (preferably Azure)
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure networking services, including: VNet peering, routing, DNS, NSGs, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, etc.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• Proficient in troubleshooting network issues using tools like Wireshark and Azure Network Watcher
• Solid understanding of network security principles and practices
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure networking (including hybrid connectivity solutions)
• Working knowledge of ITIL frameworks and experience in IT service management environments
Preferred:
• Experience using Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco networking equipment
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (especially virtual) and Cisco networking
