Job description

Summary
Manatt's Autobody/Paint Technician works independently and as a team doing frame, body & mechanical repairs performed on semi tractors, trailers, box trucks, pickups & many other large heavy vehicles and equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Tears-down, repairs and assembles damaged vehicles using metal-cutting tools/grinders.
  • Grinds, sands, masks, and otherwise prepares vehicles for painting.
  • Secures and fits replacement parts using welding equipment.
  • Identifies and reports any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned tasks.
  • Mixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas, completing fiberglass repairs, and proper use of other body fillers like Bondo.
  • Able to produce and maintain high quality work and standards.
  • Follows safety guidelines and wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Keeps work area clean and cleared of any debris and uphold environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
  • Physical ability to enter, exit and work around/on large vehicles
  • Interpersonal
  • Required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
  • Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
  • Vision requirements include ability to see close, distant, color and depth perception
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in autobody/paint preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Strong strategic, visionary, and critical thinking skills.
