Job description

Pediatric Audiologist – Auditory Processing Disorder Specialty

ListenHEAR | Bonita Springs, FL

Love working with kids? Ready to go beyond "hears fine, but struggles to listen"? Join ListenHEAR, a specialty practice devoted to diagnosing and treating Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) — where treatment matters as much as diagnosis, and your day isn't measured by hearing aid sales.

This is a unique opportunity for an audiologist who loves working with children and wants to develop expertise in Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) evaluation and treatment

What you'll do

  • Conduct comprehensive APD and pediatric audiological evaluations
  • Interpret complex auditory processing test batteries and pinpoint specific processing weaknesses
  • Deliver individualized auditory processing therapy
  • Counsel and educate patients and families
  • Recommend school and home accommodations
  • Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, psychologists, and physicians
  • Track outcomes with follow-up testing

No APD experience? No problem. We offer hands-on training for the right candidate. If you have strong pediatric skills and a genuine curiosity about what’s behind a child’s auditory challenges—not just identifying the symptoms, but solving the root cause—we’d love to teach you the rest.

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Hold an Au.D. (or equivalent) and are licensed (or license-eligible) in Florida
  • Genuinely enjoy working with children and families
  • Think diagnostically and enjoy solving complex clinical puzzles
  • Communicate clearly with parents and other professionals
  • Want treatment and rehab to be central to your work, not an afterthought
  • Are excited to build a specialized skill set that relatively few audiologists have
  • Enjoy working with children and adults with neurodiversity.
  • You’re a team player and enjoy collaborating with a team.

Why ListenHEAR?

ListenHEAR is a specialty audiology practice dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of Auditory Processing Disorder in children and adults. Our philosophy is that diagnosis is only part of the job. We believe strongly in identifying the specific auditory deficits affecting each patient and providing meaningful, evidence-informed treatment to improve those skills.

Our practice provides comprehensive APD evaluations, individualized auditory therapy, telehealth services, school-based services, professional education, and innovative interactive auditory training programs.

We are a growing, collaborative practice that values clinical excellence, creativity, continued learning, and finding better ways to help patients succeed.

  • No hearing aid sales quotas
  • Real mentorship in a niche, in-demand specialty
  • Growing practice: In-office patients, remote telehealth services, school programs, research, and program development
  • Southwest Florida location — beautiful year-round and 10 minutes from the beach.
  • Flexible schedule based on clinical needs
  • Position will begin as a 1099 contractor position

Come help us improve the lives of so many with Auditory Processing Disorder.
