The team at Margaritaville Lake Resort is here to create and deliver fun and escapism for our guests, with good pay, extensive benefits and a family atmosphere, we are seeking an audio visual technician with the right skills to support the department’s goal to provide seamless technical resources and support for a wide variety of events and functions.  

Job Type: Full Time

Pay $16.00 per hour

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age
Reports to: Audio Visual Manager

As an Audio Visual Technician you will set up, support and trouble shoot a variety of audio visual resources for a variety of events.  Your expertise in relevant technologies and types of equipment will allow you to provide a seamless service to our guests.

Responsibilities include:       

  • Have an extensive knowledge of audio/visual equipment to include sound and data projectors, as well as computers, internet and lighting.
  • Ensure that details are followed from the banquet event order (BEO).
  • Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Ensure all AV areas are maintained in a clean, organized and safe condition.
  • Ensure that at the close of a function and at the end of the workday, all banquet rooms are cleared and securely locked, and all equipment is stored in the designated area.
  • Take ownership of all guest compliments or complaints, and relay same to management.
  • Submit maintenance requests to the AV Manager/Director of Catering Operations.
  • Meet with function group leader to determine last minute changes and discuss various setup arrangements.
  • Assist staff with room set ups and clean up when necessary.
  • Maintain Driftwood and Margaritaville standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Must have radio system with ear piece at all times.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and Margaritaville policies and procedures.
