Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Ellis Island Casino, Hotel & Brewery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our casino and hotel facilities. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

Location

In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations.
  • Perform repairs and installations, including plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, appliances, and general building maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of special events, including audio-visual equipment and lighting.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests and staff by addressing maintenance-related inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Skills / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Must speak, interpret, read and write English and Spanish fluently.
  • Maintain a state issued driver license, and clean DMV record to be available to make deliveries if needed using a Company vehicle, adhere to the Company?s Driver Policy.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a commercial or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with operations management software such as Jolt or other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various business operations locations to provide on-site maintenance support as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing at least 100 pounds and may push or pull items weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Team Member is exposed to several factors including dust, cigarette smoke, and possibly various outside weather conditions.
