We are seeking candidates with an interest in working in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing producing military-grade electronics utilizing cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate should have an interest in working within a quality organization as an inspector and willing to join the seventh cohort of the BAE Systems Electronic Systems Sector New Hampshire Quality Inspection Apprenticeship Program.
We are hiring our next cohort within the Quality Inspection Registered Apprenticeship Program. The program was developed in partnership with the Community College System of New Hampshire to provide education, employment, and a career path within Quality Inspection.
This is a 2-year program that consists of 4,000 hours of on the job training and 288 hours of paid related instruction.
Upon selection into the Apprenticeship Program, all apprentices are required to successfully complete a 5-week paid training program scheduled during first shift at the BAE Systems facility in Merrimack, NH, with a specialized curriculum developed specifically for the program. The training schedule for the 5 weeks will be 10 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, starting at 7:30 a.m. and concluding at 6 p.m., each day. Following successful completion of the 5-week training program, all of which is completed during first shift hours, apprentices will begin applying their new skills on the job on their assigned shift within a BAE Systems production factory located in southern New Hampshire. Note, for those selected for a shift other than first shift, shift differential pay does not apply to first shift hours during the five week training program, and only applies for work on a shift other than first shift.
Throughout the duration of the 2-year program, apprentices will receive aone-on-one mentorship from an experienced Quality Inspector and continue their technical skills development through internal training.
As defined milestones are achieved, apprentices will receive incremental salary increases on a scheduled basis over the course of the 2-year program. The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.50
