Fixed | Urgent Need โ€“ Pre-Anesthesia Testing App

Specialty: Pre-Anesthesia Testing / Surgery

Provider Type: APP

Assignment Type: Full-Time Locums

Start Date: 9/21/2026 or sooner

Assignment Length: 3โ€“6 months

Schedule:
  • Mondayโ€“Friday.
  • 8-hour shifts.
  • 7:30 AMโ€“3:30 PM.
  • First patient: 8:00 AM.
  • Last patient: 3:00 PM.
  • No call.
  • No weekends.
  • Approximately 8โ€“9 patients per day.
Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced APP for an outpatient Pre-Anesthesia Testing setting. Patients are being evaluated and optimized for upcoming surgeries and are not having surgery the same day.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-operative evaluations and optimization for upcoming surgical patients.
  • Review H&Ps and relevant patient information.
  • Utilize facility optimization protocols and resources.
  • Complete chart review and data collection.
  • Identify and make appropriate referrals as needed.
  • Work closely with the Surgery and Anesthesia teams.
  • Coordinate care and ensure patients are appropriately optimized prior to surgery.
Surgical Specialties Include:
  • Orthopedics.
  • General Surgery.
  • Urology.
Clinical Setting:
  • Ambulatory, office-type setting focused on pre-operative assessment.
  • Primarily chart review, patient assessment, data collection, and coordination of care.
  • No procedure-based skills required.
Requirements:
  • Active BLS certification.
  • AHA or RQI certification.
  • Board Certified.
  • Active New York license in hand.
  • Epic experience required.
  • APP experience appropriate for a pre-operative/pre-anesthesia setting.
  • Cannot accept Residents or Fellows.
  • Work history must be current and up to date.
  • No employment gaps of 30+ days.
  • If malpractice is involved, whether dismissed or not, a physician statement is required.
