Position Highlights
  • Specialty: Anesthesiologist
    • Open to experienced providers or new graduates (Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of completing residency)
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Candidate Skills:
    • Comfortable with obstetric anesthesia
    • Comfortable placing central lines - particularly for use in the ICU
    • Will occasionally be called to assist with airway management in the ED and ICU
    • Standard OR procedures to include thoracic anesthesia (no hearts, vascular, heads, spines, sick kids)
    • Comfortable with basic regional procedures
    • Will perform anesthesia on all ages

  • Position Location: Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, Massena Hospital
  • Schedule:
  • Regular OR hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • Main site (CPH) runs 7 rooms per day: 4 in the main OR and 3 in the Leroy Outpatient Center
  • Call Coverage Requirements/Call Schedule:
  • Call Schedule: 1:4 call. SU-FR CRNA takes primary call and Anesthesiologist is back-up. Saturday Anesthesiologist is on primary call and CRNA is back-up
  • Call Frequency: SU-FR back-up call anesthesiologist typically receives 0-1 calls/night (10% of time). SA for primary call 2-4 calls/night (typically OB)
  • EMR: Epic
