Job description

Aircraft Painter

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking aircraft painters with experience on Commercial aircraft for an opportunity in Greensboro, NC.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Aircraft Painter will be responsible for the preparation and painting for the repair, modification and overhaul of aircraft and related equipment and parts in compliance with policies, manuals, procedures and requirements.

  • Prepare aircraft for washing, stripping, paining and polishing.
  • Mix and apply paints in various quantities.
  • Set up and operate various types of paint spraying equipment.
  • Locate pounce patterns for registration numbers and lettering.
  • Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform work within estimated hours.
  • Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
  • Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
  • Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, ina a safe manner.
  • Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no rework.
  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers. 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • 2+ years of aircraft painting experience.
  • Ability to prepare and paint to an MRO paint standard with minimal supervision.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
