Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performs removal/installation, cleaning, inspection, repair and replacement of Power Plant systems components and accessories. All work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, company directives and other approved data. This position will be based in Coral Springs, Fl.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications required to meet company and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments
  • Complete all required maintenance records in an accurate manner to include accurately reporting of times required to accomplish the tasks assigned
  • Must support all company policies and safety programs to include OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings and blueprints
  • Present a clean and neat work area
  • Demonstrate professionalism and deliver satisfaction to the internal/external customer
  • Perform other related duties & responsibilities as assigned

• Must be able to work overtime, shift work & weekends at short notice

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required• Power plant license preferred• 2 years of experience as a jet engine technician - preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English as this is a FAA requirement

• A valid driver's license
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Successful candidate will be highly motivated and work effectively under pressure and time constraints
  • Must have the ability to multi-task within a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs
  • Possess proven inspection competencies
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized; demonstrate excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude
  • Successful candidate will ideally have own set of hand tools. Specialized aircraft tooling will be furnished by the company
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
  • As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 5Kg and occasionally lift and move up to 22.5 KG
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
