This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys solving unique technical challenges, manufacturing one-off repair components, and working in an environment where no two jobs are exactly alike.Unlike production machining, this role focuses onspecialized aircraft component repairs, requiring critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to develop practical machining solutions while following approved repair procedures.Responsibilities
  • Operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and other conventional machine shop equipment.
  • Repair aircraft component parts to tight tolerances from engineering drawings, sketches, and repair specifications.
  • Interpret and execute written repair procedures and technical instructions.
  • Assist in developing machining methods and repair solutions for unique and non-routine component repairs.
  • Work closely with technicians, engineering personnel, and quality inspectors to ensure repairs meet all applicable requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, dimensions, materials used, and repair activities.
  • Utilize company maintenance tracking software to document work progress and maintain up-to-date repair notes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


Qualifications
