Job description

Who is Frankel?
Frankel is a full-service strategic communications firm based in Gainesville, FL, specializing in branding, marketing, and digital strategy. We help organizations connect with their audiences through thoughtful strategy, sharp creative, and measurable results - whether that's a million-dollar budget or a gumball and a paperclip. We partner with clients across financial services, higher education, healthcare, professional services, and more, and we're looking for people who love a good challenge as much as we do.

Who We Need
If you're equal parts strategic thinker, detail wrangler, and relationship builder, this role is your chance to shine. We need someone who's already fluent in agency life - someone who can walk into a client meeting with a point of view, brief a creative team without losing the strategy in translation, and keep five moving projects on track without breaking a sweat. Bonus points if you can hold your own in a conversation about a client's industry, whether that's higher ed enrollment trends or RIA compliance requirements.

The Basics
Job Title: Account Manager
Department: Client Services
Reports To: Partner/VP
Location: Gainesville, FL (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
NOTE: Only USA-based candidates will be considered for this position. Frankel is unable to provide sponsorship at this time. This hybrid role requires being in the Gainesville, FL office from Tuesday through Thursday, and Monday and Friday are remote days.

The Role
The Account Manager owns the day-to-day relationship between Frankel and their assigned clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring client needs are met through clear communication, sharp coordination, and strong execution. They work closely with creative, media, production, PR, digital, and strategy teams to brief, guide, and deliver integrated marketing plans that actually move the needle for clients. Success in this role looks like clients who trust you, projects that run on time and on budget, and a growing account that reflects the strength of the relationship you've built.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong relationships and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction
  • Manage day-to-day client communications and project workflows, ensuring timely delivery of work and consistent quality
  • Support the development of marketing strategies and communications plans based on client goals, market research, and audience insights
  • Brief internal creative, media, production, and digital teams with clear, concise, and strategic direction
  • Coordinate and attend client meetings, presentations, and status calls; prepare meeting agendas, notes, and recaps
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver campaigns that meet client objectives and budgets
  • Assist in preparing estimates, timelines, and budgets; track project costs and help manage billing accuracy
  • Write and maintain client status reports, timelines, and other key documents
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape relevant to client business
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts and work with leadership to present recommendations
  • Ensure deliverables align with the client's brand standards and marketing goals
  • Participate in internal reviews of creative and strategic work, providing thoughtful feedback
  • Maintain accurate documentation and project files
  • Support new business efforts and pitches as needed
  • Build working knowledge of assigned clients' industries - think higher ed, financial/wealth management, real estate development, or professional services - to provide informed, credible counsel
  • Navigate compliance-sensitive or highly regulated client environments with appropriate discretion and attention to approval processes
  • Continuously work to expand knowledge of marketing, advertising, and client industries
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3–5 years' experience in an account management role within a marketing, advertising, or creative agency - agency experience is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
  • Solid understanding of marketing strategy, branding, digital, and integrated communications
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns across multiple disciplines (brand, digital, PR, content, production) rather than a single channel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with various teams and personalities
  • Professional presence and client service orientation
  • Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and eagerness to grow

Bonus Points If...

  • You have exposure to one or more of Frankel's core verticals: higher education, financial services/wealth management, real estate or mixed-use development, or professional services
  • You've managed client relationships in regulated or reputation-sensitive industries where accuracy, compliance, and discretion matter
  • You thrive in a close-knit, full-service agency setting and want to know both the craft and the client's business deeply

Why Frankel?
Agency life shouldn't take over your life. Beyond the day-to-day, here's what you can expect as part of the team:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with Frankel contributing toward the cost of your plan
  • 401(k) with a match, eligible after your first work anniversary
  • 15 days of PTO in year one, moving to our flexible Responsible Time Off plan after that
  • Holiday Break Days in November and December
  • Paid parental leave and a free Employee Assistance Program
  • A hybrid, collaborative culture with an open-door policy -  we want to hear your ideas, not just your deliverables

All full-time employees are eligible for our full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, generous PTO, and more.

The salary range for this position is $45,000-$75,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
