This residency is designed for adult treatment focused, or child and adolescent treatment focused clinicians. The position includes professional support and development opportunities that exceeds the minimum requirements for supervised practice to attain licensure as a psychologist in Oregon.

This is a full-time, 12 month position with the potential to be hired full time after residency and licensure. Our ideal candidates are those with experience in treating adults, or children and adolescents. The position duration can be extended if needed to accrue adequate licensing hours.

Experience assessing and treating ADHD, mood, and anxiety disorders in an outpatient setting is highly preferred. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in differential diagnosis to rule in ADHD and rule out other mood, anxiety, developmental, or cognitive disorders. Experience in the administration of continuous performance tests and Weschler measures are a plus. Time management and accurate and concise documentation practices will help candidates excel in this position.

Postdoctoral residents will spend a significant amount of time assessing patients for ADHD and other mood disorders. They will be responsible for administering the TOVA (Test of Variables of Attention) test, the Test of Memory Malingering (TOMM) and related measures on a weekly basis. Residents also lead a therapy group of their design weekly, and see an average of 20-25 patients per week in an outpatient setting. Residents will also supervise a practicum student. This position includes weekly interdisciplinary group consultation time and direct supervision from a licensed Psychologist. Opportunities to engage in research may be available. Every week, our psychologist residents participate in didactics, interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, and at least 2 hours of individual supervision with a licensed psychologist.

Eligible candidates must have a PsyD or PhD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program. APA-accredited internship is highly prefered. Dissertation must be complete to apply; ABD applications will not be considered. Applicants must be in an approved Residency Contract with the Oregon Board of Psychology prior to beginning clinical work; a position offer will be revoked if an individual is unable to enter an Oregon Board of Psychology approved Residency Contract.

Applicants must demonstrate an ability to assess and treat ADHD, work as an effective interdisciplinary team member, and maintain patient confidentiality and documentation in compliance with state, federal, professional, and ethical guidelines. Applicants must also demonstrate an ability to consistently utilize professional communication and conflict resolution skills with patients and staff.

The schedule for this position is 40 hours per week, exact hours to be determined by site needs and resident preferences. Residents are offered competitive salaries plus benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, professional liability insurance, PTO, PLO, and paid holidays. Residents may also be eligible for short and long term disability insurance.

Program start date is approximate, depending upon the date of the candidate's completion of internship, the date on which the Oregon Board of Psychology approves the residency contract, and credentialing with Medicaid. Qualified applicants will be contacted to informally discuss the position and to schedule a formal interview.
