Job description

Floor Technician (Overnight)
8:00 PM - 4:30 AM | Weekdays
Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital

If you know your way around a floor buffer and don't need someone looking over your shoulder to get the job done, keep reading

Schedule: Overnight shift, 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM.

What We Offer

  • A collaborative, team focused, positive work environment
  • Opportunity to expand your role for career growth
  • Autonomy to add to your position by being proactive
  • Competitive compensation, PTO, and benefits package

Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital serves children and adolescents with complex medical needs. Our floors don't stop needing attention because the sun went down, and neither do we. We're looking for an experienced Floor Technician who takes pride in their work and can operate independently through an overnight shift. There are always so many things to do so our hospital looks great!

What the Role Looks Like

This is a specialized role, not a general cleaning position. You'll be responsible for stripping, waxing, buffing, and refinishing hard floor surfaces, along with carpet extraction, shampooing, and spot cleaning. You'll execute scheduled floor maintenance, respond to spills and safety hazards as they come up, and keep your equipment properly maintained and organized. Most of your shift you'll be working on your own, managing your time and priorities without constant direction.

You'll also support broader facilities and environmental services needs when floor workload allows and assist with emergency response procedures as directed.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior floor care experience is required. This is not a role where you learn on the job.
  • Hands-on experience operating floor care equipment including buffers, auto-scrubbers, and extractors.
  • Ability to work a full overnight shift independently and manage your own time effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a hospital environment with high cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of floor finishes, cleaning chemicals, and carpet care preferred.
  • An employee who takes pride in their work and strives for excellence.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving equipment throughout the facility.

If you're someone who notices the details, takes pride in quality work, and wants a role where your efforts truly make a difference, we'd like to hear from you.
