Job description

This role is for one of our clients
Compensation: $50-$60 per hour
Join a leading AI research initiative focused on building high-quality training data by identifying exceptional subject-matter experts across Law, Finance, Healthcare, and Engineering. We are seeking an experienced recruiter and interviewer to conduct structured expert interviews, evaluate candidate suitability, and provide evidence-based hiring recommendations.
In this role, you will assess technical depth, communication skills, and overall fit for AI evaluation projects through structured conversations. Your evaluations will directly influence the quality of experts contributing to next-generation AI systems.
This is a flexible, fully remote engagement requiring approximately 10 hours per week, with interviews conducted during weekday business hours that overlap with U.S. Eastern Time.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct approximately 20-minute structured interviews with shortlisted subject-matter experts using a standardized evaluation rubric.
  • Assess candidates for domain expertise, communication skills, professionalism, and suitability for AI evaluation projects.
  • Verify candidate availability, work authorization, scheduling flexibility, and exclusivity requirements while identifying any potential concerns or red flags.
  • Assign clear hiring recommendations (Advance, Hold, or Pass) supported by concise, evidence-based evaluation summaries.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and maintain a smooth candidate experience throughout the interview process.
  • Collaborate with the program team to ensure consistent evaluation standards and hiring quality across all candidate assessments.
Core Qualifications
  • Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, interviewing, or expert-vetting, with confidence evaluating senior-level professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to conduct structured, engaging, and professional interviews while effectively managing time.
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to objectively evaluate candidates against predefined criteria.
  • Comfortable documenting interview outcomes through clear, concise, and well-supported written feedback.
  • Availability during weekday business hours with overlap in the U.S. Eastern Time zone.
  • Ability to reliably commit approximately 10 hours per week in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting or interviewing professionals across technical or specialized domains such as Law, Finance, Healthcare, Engineering, or other expert-driven industries.
  • Familiarity with competency-based interviewing, structured evaluation rubrics, or assessment frameworks.
  • Prior experience supporting AI training, data annotation, expert networks, research operations, or similar evaluation-focused programs is an advantage.
Why This Work Matters
High-quality AI systems depend on exceptional human expertise. Your ability to identify qualified professionals and evaluate them consistently will help ensure that AI models are trained and assessed using the knowledge and judgment of experienced industry experts.
Equal Opportunity
We are committed to providing equal opportunities to all qualified applicants and fostering an inclusive environment. Reasonable accommodations are available throughout the application and engagement process upon request.
Contract & Payment Terms
  • Independent contractor engagement.
  • Fully remote with flexible working hours.
  • Project duration may vary based on business needs and individual performance.
  • Weekly payments are processed through supported payment platforms.
  • Applicants requiring H-1B or STEM OPT sponsorship are not eligible for this opportunity.
