Job Summary
The Pilot, Corporate Aviation supports the safe, efficient, and professional operation of company aircraft. Working in partnership with the Captain, this role assists with flight planning, aircraft operations, regulatory compliance, and passenger service while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Essential Functions

  • Serve as Second-in-Command (SIC) for company aircraft and assist the Captain in all phases of flight operations.
  • Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight activities, including flight planning, weather analysis, aircraft inspections, fuel planning, and performance calculations.
  • Operate aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, aircraft operating manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in the execution of domestic and international flight operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft airworthiness, readiness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, required flight documentation, and aircraft logs.
  • Support passenger travel needs by providing professional, confidential, and customer-focused service.
  • Communicate effectively with air traffic control, fixed-base operators (FBOs), maintenance providers, and ground service personnel.
  • Participate in safety management programs, recurrent training, simulator events, and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and effective decision-making in routine and irregular operating conditions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
  • Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, Business, or related field. (preferred)


Work Experience

  • 3+ years Professional piloting experience (required)
  • Experience operating turbine-powered aircraft. (required)
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, flight operations, aircraft systems, and aviation safety standards. (required)
  • Experience with multi-engine aircraft operations. (required)
  • Experience in corporate aviation, charter operations, military aviation, or commercial airline operations. (preferred)
  • Experience supporting executive travel and customer service-oriented flight operations. (preferred)
  • International flight operations experience. (preferred)
  • Experience operating business jet aircraft. (preferred)


Licenses and Certifications

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating. (required)
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate (required)
  • FAA Instrument Rating. (required)
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate. (required)
  • Valid Passport with ability to travel internationally. (required)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $96,000.00 - $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
